The certificate of behavioural integrity certifies whether a person appears in Romania's national registry of persons who committed sexual offences or offences against minors, established by Law 118/2019.
Since 2023, Romanian employers are legally required to ask for it when hiring anyone who works directly with minors: schools, kindergartens, nurseries, sports clubs, hospitals, NGOs, camps. It is frequently required from volunteers too, and from Romanians applying for such positions abroad.

About this document
Is it the same as the criminal record certificate?
No. The criminal record covers all offences, while the behavioural integrity certificate checks only the special registry of sexual offences and offences against minors. Employers in education usually ask for both, and you can order them together from us as a bundle.
How does it actually work?
After payment you receive the request we prepared, plus step-by-step instructions. You validate the request yourself, from your own account, because the law requires it to come from the holder. Your parents' first names and the reason for the request are chosen there too, in the institution's own form, which is why we no longer ask you for them twice. If you get stuck anywhere, write to us and we take it from there.
What documents do I need?
Your CNP and a copy of your identity document. Full instructions arrive by email right after ordering.
How long is it valid?
6 months from the date of issue, the same as the criminal record certificate.
